The one thing that pretty much sold me on these telescopes was Google Images. The past week has been clear skys and I have taken it out every night since. The base is heavy enough and low to the ground that with small children in the family there is no fear of them knocking the telescope over. No instructions for inserting battery in Ez Finder, I still can't figure out with what polarity to insert one. The Telescope - The scope is well built and once assembled, it should be collimated (my secondary mirror was out of position). It also analyzes reviews to verify trustworthiness. Don't expect it to be super portable, but it is easy to separate/put together the parts in case you do want to bring it somewhere. I came upon the SkyQuest series and was intrigued byt the pricing.
