But the best advantage of a stay at Kandahar Lodge is its close proximity (as in, on the same property) to Whitefish Mountain Resort, where you’ll find skiing, snowtubing, biking, hiking (and picking huckleberries in the summer! As for OUR skiing, it leaves much to be desired...lots of bumps and bruises...ha ha...but we proudly earned everyone!! It was exactly how it was described to us. The rooms all have queen beds, down comforters, microwaves, small refrigerators and a/c. The lodge is rustic in nature with a welcoming fireplace and plenty of comfortable seating in the main salon. I was with the Tampa Bay Snow Skiers and Boarders group that stayed with you the first week of February this year. We will never forget the wonderful time we had or any of you who made it so. The room was clean and comfortable, my wife found the sheets to be especially soft. The lodge is ski IN but one has to either take a shuttle to the lift or walk a small distant across the street to access the hill. Apres ski offers popcorn, cookies, coffee, and tea. ha! From the moment I arrived, the hospitality was 5 star. Which popular attractions are close to Kandahar Lodge? Internet was not strong.Lobby has a fireplace. There are more places to choose from in the Whitefish area. My wife and I recently spent 4 days at the lodge. Loved the town, the national park. Ask for a room with one queen, and a pullout couch. What are some restaurants close to Kandahar Lodge? I only hope that I can send business your way, you have a unique and special place that everyone should experience. I just want to say that it is by far the best place to stay on a ski vacation. It is much more gorgeous than what the pictures show. Not one rude individual and everyone from the "Snug" to the morning waitresses in the cafe were amazing. Staff were friendly and helpful when needed. Kandahar Lodge is a rustic, yet elegant lodge located at Whitefish Mountain Resort, 7 miles north of Whitefish and 32 miles from the west entrance of Glacier National Park. The skiing was wonderful, our room stylish and comfortable and everyone so welcoming. The workout room, locker rooms and whirlpool was also a treat!
