I have only had it for a few months but have made many table runners and now am making a quilt. I bought three Janome's last year and not crazy about the 3160, was iver priced and the 500E embroidery machine drags in ine side. I love how accurate the machine can be, the fact that it is powerful enough to go thru the thick materials as easily as the finest of material. Many features make this a dream machine. I have had it for 4 months and made a few quilts with it. Good quality thread is also a must! The straight stitch foot and plate sew a beautiful seam. My only regret is wishing I purchased it from another dealer that had classes to teach me how to use all of the features. I have had several machines over the years. I have had it back to the dealer 2 times for tension issues and problems with it skipping stitches when doing free motion quilting. Is there any upgrades coming such as a laser light attachment? It always inspires me. We use cookies to offer you a better browsing experience, analyze site traffic, personalize content, and serve targeted ads. The cutter is taking me longer to get used to, but when I do use it I think how handy is that! I have had a top of the line Janome machine since 1998, and now I have the 9400. When the machine has made a few turns, stop and cut the thread tail close to the hole in the bobbin. My most favorite features are the thread cutter and being able to wind the bobbin without unthreading the machine and the fact I can sew on cruise control. Love this machine. I have had my 9400 QCP for a couple of weeks now and I absolutely love it. I use this machine almost daily! This purchase is worth every penny! I have owned Janome machines for years, starting with the MC9000. "Yes" : "No" }}, {{m.Foot_Pressure_Adjustmented ? I especially like the extra lighting, the wide foot pedal, the presser lifter button, and the professional grade throat plate. I have used the machine applique or blanket stitch on several blocks lately. Add previously I had the 7700 which I hated, but it had the Joining stitch that is used for Cotton Theory quilting (115). I admit, its special features have me spoiled. Every time I have time to sew it is a dream come true. With the free end of the thread held in your hand, depress the foot control (or touch the start button). Thank you Janome for producing such a wonderful product! I felt this feature would be very beneficial since I do a lot of paper piecing. Can any if the missing stitches be added to the 9400 since there is a USB port? I especially love the way the machine threads the needle (I have problems with cataracts) and this feature was a godsend. Lots of great features, some not so great. 48 ATLANTIC HWY US Route 1, NOBLEBORO ME, 04555, North & South American Region - Distributors, Eastern European (CIS) Region - Distributor, Asian & Middle Eastern Region - Distributor. My reasoning is that the machine I have was one of the first. This machine is a dream come true for me. Thursday, July 6, 2017. The only thing I have found with all Janome's I have owned is the thickness of the fabric. I do enjoy the needle threader. I could go on and on. I have only had my 9400 for a few months. I free-motion quilt all kinds and sizes of projects and love how she handles all the different threads I throw at her. Pull the thread through the small hole at the top of your bobbin. I love the extra lights and it lets you know when the bobbin is getting low and lots of stitches. So glad I did because this machine gives me the confidence to try more sewing skills! There are so many wonderful features that are offered with this machine that makes it enjoyable to use. I traded my Janome 6600 for the 9400 and I have not been sorry!
